Rome

Today we went to Vatican was so busy there millions of people there. Then we went to the Vatican museum it was very beautiful. There were lots of ceiling paintings. A lot of it was made of solid gold. Then we got a bus to Trastevere and got lunch. I had lamb for lunch is really nice. Then we walked home. Then at 5:30 we went back to the Vatican it was still really busy.The inside beautiful but there were  lots of people inside inside. There was lots of gold and a lot of sculptures. Then we got gelato I had biscotti flavour and chocolate cream. Then we got dinner. We had pizza. We got it from a really nice place. Tomorrow we are  flying home. It has been a great a great holiday. 

 

 

 

 

Orvieto

Today we caught a train to Orvieto, an old town high on a mountain. Our train was delayed by 20 minutes. It was took an hour to get to Orvieto. Went up the hill in a furnicular. First we walked  around the town. Then we went to a restaurant I had cabonara it was really nice. Then We had a ricotta & chocolate torte. Then we walked up to church the front had pieces of gold on it and black and white striped bricks. Then inside was mesmerising. Then we looked in some shops. Then it was gelato time. I had straceiatella & and bacio. Then it was time to go back on the train. The train was only one hour late. Then went home to bed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Eating day

Rome

Today we went to the time elevator which is a movie but the seats move and water falls on you  it was really interesting. Then we looked for a special chocolate shop that found eventually. It was really nice it had a lovely smell of melting chocolate. Then we went to an gelato shop called Fridgedarium. I had Fridgedarium flavoured gelato it was the best. Then we went out for a really nice lunch. I had delicious lamb and everyone else had pasta. Mum went shopping then we had pizza for dinner. It was a great day.

 

 

 

 

Rome

 Today we had a delicious breakfast of pastries & cereal. Then we went castl san angelo. Which was the castle emperor Hadrian built as his tomb. From the top there was a really good view. He was the same Hadrian who built the wall we saw in England. Then we got a boat it went  along the Tiber river. Then we went to the Leonardo da Vinci mesuem. It was really interesting. Benj said he mostly just emproved lots of what Archimedes did. Then we had gelato I had pear caremel and hazelnut. Then we went to the colleseum I was really disappointed with it and the guide we had was really quiet. Then we went to the ancient forum which was much better than the colleseum. Then we went out for dinner I had pasta and then we had tiramisu.

 

 

 

 

Rome

Today we woke up early and went to piazza Navona and the pantheon. The Pantheon was stunning. There was lots of marble and tombs inside. The domed roof was amazing. The interior was mesmerising. After that we went to the Trevi fountain. It wasn't the best thing I saw today.Then we had gelato I had hazelnut and caramel. Then we had a delicious lunch at a little bar. I had bruschetta. There was a man who played the accordion. He kept drinking more and wine. After we walked to the capuchin monks crypt it was scary because the walls and the roof are decorated with bones and skulls from the dead monks.  Then we had pizza for dinner.

 

 

 

 

 

Italy

Today we went to Rome the train  2 hours late it was a horrible train ride, the train was delayed by floods. It was the worst train ride ever. Then we went to the apartment it's really nice. Then we got dinner at a close Italian restaurant, I had pasta carbonara, it was good but not as good as Dads.

 

Italy-Joe

Today we walked around Positano. It was so sunny in the afternoon. There was amazing cheese cake at breakfast. It was delicious. After breakfast.we walked uphill to get Benj somerhing to eat because he wanted to savour some of the local pastries. Then we went to the square It was really busy. Then we went back to the hotel. Mum & dad went and got lunch that we ate in the apartment, It was ok. Then we went to the quieter beach and it was so nice and cool but avery long walk down. The reataurant on the beach had an Australian flag. It was very refreshing, Benjamin and I had a great time,  the Mediterranean Sea is very salty and it is so easy to float. For dinner we went to the same place that we did on the first night. I had a pizza. For dessert we had tirimusu. It was a really nice dinner. Tonight is our last night in Positano.

 

 

 

 

 

Italy

Today we went to Ravello. First we had a delicious breakfast. There were cakes and fruit and biscuits. Then we went on a boat to Amalfi - we had an amazing view of the sea and surrounding towns.

Then we caught a bus to Ravello. At Ravello we had a looked at a villa that had a  beautiful garden.Then we got some lunch I had sandwich with tomato basil and boccincini. Then we caught a bus back to Amalfi. Then we had an gelati. I had mixed nut flavour, dad had pistachio mum had ricotta & pear Benj had chocolate. Then we came home on a stunning but scary bus ride along the cliffs. And walked back to the house. We went to a bar for dinner it was a fancy bar. I had pizza again. Then we went to bed. It was a very tiring day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Positano

Today we got up at three o'clock in the morning. We flew to Italy. It was only two hours. Then we went to Pompeii and it was really interesting. We saw lots of old Roman buildings that had been buried in lava. It was amazing. After I had a sandwich for lunch.Then we went to Positano. The hotel is really nice. We have a balcony that you can see the bay from. It is very humid in Italy. For dinner we are going to a Mediterranean restaurant for Italian food.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

London

Today we went to the London museum it was really interesting. It had sections for different times. It was a really big museum. After we went to the science museum. Which I liked more. It was a lot more interesting. There was there where lots of different thing. After we went to an amazing cafe I a tart then chocolate & almond tea cake. After we leave for Italy. I had an amazing day. 

 

 

 

 

London-Joe

Today we went to  a classic car exhibition.  We saw lots of old cars. And dad met his friend Pete.  Then we had lunch at Camden market. I had nachos. it was really busy there. Then we had an ice cream - I had hazelnut flavour.  Then we went home with Marian while dad and Mum climbed up Primrose Hill with English Joe to see the view. We had Indian for dinner. It was much nicer than Indian food in Melbourne.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

London

Today we went to the Bourough market. It was massive there so many stalls. We had croissants for breakfast. We saw lot of food related things. Benj also had crab pasta, for breakfast. We saw the shard. After we went to the emperial war museum. We saw lots of old things. Like jeeps, tanks and  stuff. Then we went to the holucost exibition in the museum, it was really interesting. Then we went to Harrod's food hall which was really busy And had lunch at Hyde park. Then went home on the tube.
